Whether Senator George P. McLean is a familiar name or not, you will want to hear his historical narrative from author Will McLean Greeley. Join us via Zoom to learn more about the life and times of this hero.

Hear Greeley's captivating story of his great-great uncle's journey from Connecticut farm boy to US Senator to his crowning achievement of overseeing the passage of one of our country’s first and most important wildlife conservation laws. Senator McLean was the driving force behind the 1918 Migratory Bird Treaty Act, responsible for ending the needless, wholesale killing of birds at a critical time.

Greeley's book, A Connecticut Yankee Goes to Washington, has been endorsed by ten ornithologists and historians, including David Allen Sibley, birding authority, and Dr. Donald Ritchie, Historian Emeritus for the US Senate.
