FALL 2021 EVENTS UPDATE: After more than a year of not being able to offer regular in-person activities, we’re happy to say that we’re planning to host more birding outings and other activities in our community this fall. However, in recognition of the current COVID resurgence, attendance at most outings will be limited and will require advance registration on our Meetup site. Masks and social distancing are strongly encouraged to provide a safe experience for all participants and volunteer leaders.
"I had a great first-time outing with the Duval Audubon Society today! I am new to birding and everyone was very helpful in identifying and spotting birds. Our hike not only taught me more about birds but also about other wildlife and plants. Looking forward to my next outing with the group!"
Our field trips are for both beginning and seasoned birders. Don't forget your drinking water, sunscreen, and mosquito repellant.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Sometimes details of our field trips may have changed after the print edition of our calendar in September. A trip could potentially have to be cancelled, meeting location changed, etc. If you plan on attending one of our field trips, ALWAYS check our Calendar of Events or our Duval Audubon Meetup group the night before for any updates.
BIRDING ETHICS FOR OUR FIELD TRIPS
Our top priority in the field is to approach birds with their health and safety in mind. Please read the American Birding Association's statement of birding ethics at ABA Birding Ethics.
Visitors and guests are always welcome.
