Virtual Monthly Program: “A Passion for Prothonotaries"
Monday, April 15, 2024, 06:30pm - 08:30pm
Speaker: Charles Pfeifer, Jackson Audubon

Jackson Audubon has a 23 year long Prothonotary Warbler nest box project in LeFleur's Bluff State Park near Jackson, Mississippi. In the last five years it has evolved into a scientific study documenting breeding success. The data gathered demonstrate a high value breeding site for this beautiful bird of conservation concern. Along with a coalition of organizations, we are now battling the infamous One Lake project, the "worst environmentally damaging proposal that no one has heard of." It threatens to dredge away part of the park and damage the Pearl River through Mississippi and Louisiana.

This virtual program is free, but you must register to participate We hope you will join us for this fun virtual presentation.
