Monday, April 17, 2023, 06:30pm - 08:00pm

Speaker: William Blake, Pacific Northwest Motus Coordinator, American Bird Conservancy

The Motus Wildlife Tracking System (Motus) is an international collaborative research network that uses coordinated automated radio telemetry to facilitate research and education on the ecology and conservation of migratory animals. Motus is a program of Birds Canada in partnership with collaborating researchers and organizations, including the American Bird Conservancy.

Join us to learn more about this fascinating system, and how it is being used to inform bird conservation efforts in North America.

William Blake recently began his work with American Bird Conservancy as the new Pacific Northwest Motus Coordinator. William has substantial experience installing, maintaining, and advising partners on Motus network infrastructure across the western U.S. and Mexico. In his new role, William provides key leadership, technical assistance, training, and coordination of the Motus Wildlife Tracking System across the Pacific Flyway region.
