CANCELED: Florida Horseshoe Crab Watch

WE ARE SORRY, BUT DUE TO RECENT PERSONNEL CHANGES AT THE LOCAL FWC OFFICE, THIS PROGRAM HAS BEEN CANCELED.
In 2015, the Fish and Wildlife Research Institute at FWC and the University of Florida launched a citizen science initiative engaging trained volunteers in assisting biologists with surveying, tagging and resighting Florida’s nesting horseshoe crab populations using a standardized scientific protocol. The program is so successful that it is expanding to include most coastal counties throughout Florida, including our most recently added site in Duval County at Huguenot Memorial Park.
We hope to be able to offer this program at a future date.
