Shorebird Stewarding Training Session

April 9 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Free

The Timucuan Partnership of the Florida Shorebird Alliance is hosting a Shorebird Stewarding Training Session for volunteers at city and state parks in our area including Amelia Island State Park, Little Talbot Island State Park and Huguenot Memorial Park to help protect our local shorebirds and educate the public about our feathered friends. If you are a new volunteer wanting to volunteer at Amelia Island or Little Talbot, please plan to stay after the Steward training to get certified to operate a UTV which is required for the state parks.

Anyone interested in learning more about shorebird stewarding at any of these local parks is welcome to participate, but you must email Huguenot Memorial Park Naturalist Patricia Haas at phaas@coj.net or Wade Smith of FDEP at Wade.T.Smith@FloridaDEP.gov to reserve your spot or find out more.

When: Thursday April 9th from 9am-12pm [12:30-2pm UTV training]
Where: The Ribault Club, 11241 Fort George Rd, Jacksonville FL, 32226
