Bird Walk for First-Time Birders at Hanna Park
Saturday, May 25, 2024, 07:30am - 10:00am

This event will be limited to 15 attendees, and you must register on our Meetup site to participate. Since the number of attendees is limited to 15 first-time birders, please be sure to cancel your reservation on Meetup if you change your mind.

This park is a must for any birder during any season. It has 1.5 miles of coastal beaches for sea watching and looking for shorebirds. The 447 acres of maritime hammock are a great place for migrant and wintering songbirds. A small lake in the middle of the park provides a rookery for wading birds.

Make sure you bring sunscreen, bug spray, water, a hat and good walking shoes. Bring binoculars if you have them. If not, binoculars will be available to borrow.
