Speaker: Jennifer Mitchell is Public Communications Coordinator with the St. Johns River Water Management District.

She is passionate about Florida’s incredible water resources and hopes to spark your interest in what you can do to help protect Florida’s waterways. After earning her Ph.D. in Forest Ecology from Auburn University, she completed a post-doc at the University of Florida in Soil and Water Science. Because she realizes that greater results will come from more community participation, she now works to spread the message of how individuals can reduce their impact on our waterways.

The mission of St. John’s River Management District is to balance human need for water with that of nature. In her presentation Jennifer will provide information about the projects that are occurring across the district to improve water quality and water quantity.  The presentation will also include information about what you can do to help improve the water quality in our local waterways.

Meetings start with refreshments at 6:30 pm and programs at 7:00 pm (unless otherwise noted)

Location Charles Neviaser Educational Institute of Community Hospice, 4266 Sunbeam Road #100, 32257
