PLEASE NOTE DATE CHANGE TO TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 21, 2023 DUE TO 2/20 PRESIDENTS DAY HOLIDAY

Presenter: John Peterson, PhD, Owner of Wild Birds Unlimited Nature Shop, Jacksonville, FL

Location: Southeast Regional Library, Room B, 10599 Deerwood Park Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32256

Dr. Peterson will share some of the reasons for the precipitous decline in songbirds and shorebirds over the last 50 years, and the Seven Simple Actions you can take to help.

John Peterson opened the Wild Birds Unlimited Nature Shop 4 ½ years ago. He has always been interested in nature from both experiential and philosophical perspectives. After two careers as a Registered Architect and a University Campus President, Dr. Peterson opened the Wild Birds Unlimited Nature Shop as a means to encourage and assist others in their enjoyment of the birds in their backyards through both product offerings and education.

Meetings start with refreshments and networking at 6:30 pm and programs at 7:00 pm (unless otherwise noted). We will provide snacks and drinks; please feel free to BYOD (Bring Your Own Dinner) and enjoy it during the program. Please also bring your own cup to help cut down on plastic trash at this event. Thank you!
